ABATE of NE, Dist 11 meeting was held on November 6, 2011, at the 5th Quarter Tavern in Palmyra, NE. Meeting brought to order at 1:05 pm, by Jimmy Wray, Dist Rep, followed by a moment of silence.
Doug made the motion to accept the October minutes as posted in the RTR, Bo 2nd, and all approved.
Treasurer's Report given by Connie - Doug made the motion to accept the treasurer's report, Bo 2nd, and all approved.
No membership report as Membership Secretary excused from the meeting
Legislative Report - LB52 is still in committee
Need to support Deb Fischer in whatever way you can. She needs help to get elected to the US Senate, and we believe she would be a good one to have in Washington to be on our side. Paul Lambert, the new Nebraska Senator from LD2 in Plattsmouth seems to be on our side and leans towards folks that already support us for help.
OLD BUSINESS
Bash - Port -a- Pots - the business that did our pots last year will be unavailable for us this year. Connie will talk with Kohl's in Tecumseh to get some pots reserved. Discussion was held on the number of pots to reserve, with Doug making a motion to reserve 6 pots, Bo 2nd, and all approved.
Toy Dance - is December 3rd here at the bar in Palmyra. New un-opened toy or $5 donation entry fee. Pam was unable to be at the meeting, but will be contacting Connie and we will get more information out to you.
NEW BUSINESS
District 11 sends their condolences out to Pam Filter who lost her mother. A $25 memorial check will be sent to Pam in honor of her mother. Discussion was held, and Doug made a motion to give $25 memorials to active members who have a death in their immediate families. Deb 2nd, and all approved.
