ABATE of NEBRASKA, INC. is a not-for-profit organization consisting of motorcycle enthusiasts across the State of Nebraska. Our goals and purposes are to keep motorcyclists, members, and the public informed, to promote safe riding habits, and to encourage favorable legislation for motorcyclists. These are accomplished through a monthly newsletter, safety education programs designed to help prevent fatal and personal injury accidents, lobbying at the State Legislature and voter registration programs.
We are a "freedom of choice" organization dedicated to the premise that each individual is best suited to decide
The type of motorcycle riden
The type of safety equipment worn
Their own personal lifestyle choice
ABATE of NEBRASKA, INC., is a neutral organization that allows ALL riders to unite together to safeguard our rights and still remain as individuals that have different views. ABATE of NEBRASKA, INC., works with other motorcycle rights organizations across the country to stop unfair legislation aimed at motorcyclists. All motorcyclists are individuals with a common interest - being able to RIDE FREE.
ABATE of NEBRASKA, INC., does not condone driving or riding while impaired.
WARNING TO ALL MOTORCYCLISTS RIDING IN NEBRASKA - If you get pulled over by a Nebraska Law Enforcement Officer, for a safety check or a moving violation, be aware that the officer may ask you to remove your helmet so he can then inspect it for a DOT certification label inside. If your helmet does not meet the requirements of DOT, it is possible you may be issued a ticket for improper safety equipment. The officer, at that time, also has the right to confiscate your helmet.
